I made this purchse as a gift to my husband. He wore it one night and lost a button then found a tear in the pocket he put his keys. The keys went all the way to the bottom of the coat and it took a while to push them back up and out the pocket hole.

When the button came off, it tore a small gash in a cross seam as well.

I had to stitch both pokets and stitch up the tear in button area. I will need to look for some new buttons. I then checked all the coat buttons and many of them were very loose so I spent an hour reinfoercing them so no to loose any more.

The custiomer service depatment at Crative Products did not want to do anything for me on a return. After I discussed my problem, I was told a $5.00 credit would be refunded for my troubles.

I did not expect this coat to be so disappointing and am looking to purchase another coat of better quality for my husband at this time.

The prive explains it all, your getting a very massed produced coat that is poor quality.

When I got mine out of the standard US postal mail shipping box it was crammed into, I looked it over. I found numerous cuts and gashes on it, not what I expected.

In addition the picture does not give you a good idea of this "italian stone" leather they speak of. Basically it's patches of leather that are a couple inches in size put together to form a coat. It looks like some kind of leather quilt, one the plus side the patches are all the same color, and it becomes hard to notice from a distance.

The pockets are VERY shallow, I would never use them. In fact I plan on getting some fabric and modifing this jacket as I am not concerned about ruining it (How much worse can it get I figure).

The leather does feel very stiff, however I am not sure if it is because it is "new" or if it's the "italian stone" leather. I'll put it in the washer on spin cycle for an hour or so to see if it will go away, but I'm willing to bet that it's the "italian stone" leather.

I would not recommend this to anyone, I would only say to buy it if you want to build your own custom trench coat (Which is what I now plan on doing with this). Check into International Male, they make very good quality trench coats, and I have written a review on the "Tough Guy" trench coat.

I was spectical at first but when the jacket arrived i was pleasantly supprised by the quality. However, I did notice that the buttons needed to be tightend by needle and thread. Which my girlfriend took care of. The stitching on the belt loop hole will need to be reinforced but for the price what do you expect. Its a good looking jacket with lining. It kept me warm in Ny as I made a trip from Fl. I'm going to send it to a seamstress to fortify the loop hole and perimeter of the jacket which will cost a little more but its worth it. It may cost me 40-50 buck for the work to be done but this jacket is quality and should last for many years going forward. The leather was a good grade not cheap. All in all it was more than i expected. The buttons becoming loose was the main issue .
